Happy Friday, friends! I hope you enjoyed the last blog about figuring out who your ideal client is! Did you do your homework? I hope so! It will be so beneficial to you as we move forward! 🙂 If you didn’t already noticed, I skipped blogging last week, but it was because I had the craziest week of life, and just needed to step back and prioritize! That being said, The Adventure Tog will be coming to you every FRIDAY instead of WEDNESDAY! This gives me an extra day to write solid content for you! Today we are talking about 3 ways to market to your ideal client now that you know whom they are!!

3 Ways To Market To Your Ideal Client

1. Utilize Social Media! Now that you have a specific person in mind, the rest can sort of fall into place! Let’s start with social media! Think about your feed, and how it looks. Does it attract this idea client? Do you think your feed would excite them, or make them feel like they NEED to hire you? If so, good for you! If not, let’s make some changes!

Do you schedule out your posts? Well, you should! I use PLANN, and oh my goodness is it life changing! It is a small monthly fee, but SO worth it! It allows you to see your layout, so when you post you know that not only will your feed be on point, but your images will all speak to your ideal client!

2. Share only the work you want to be booking! For example, my first priority is weddings and my awesome couples so I post mainly wedding and lifestyle work! To narrow it down even more, I only post the wedding work I have done that I absolutely LOVED and want to do more of! For me that means less country style weddings, and more adventurous and unique weddings! I love when my couples like to mix it up!

3. Show people who you are! I love going live or posting on my social media just sharing bits and pieces of my day, stories, or behind the scenes of shoots! This is that extra touch point for people to connect with you, and I cannot tell you how many of my brides have said to me. “I felt like I already knew you!” That is huge, ya’ll!!

We hear it all the time in the creative community, but have you really ever stopped to actually think about it? WHO is your ideal client? What kind of people are you booking and what kind of people do you want to be booking? Do your client’s interests match yours? These questions are important, and so crucial if you want to start booking you ideal client so today I am going to talk about figuring out who your ideal client is!

Your ideal client should be someone you dream of working with! I like to think of this person as my best friend. You love your best friend for a reason, so what if all your clients were like him/her!? Wouldn’t that be awesome!? Well, it can happen just by asking yourself the right questions!

1. What does your ideal client do for fun?
2. Where does your ideal client shop?
3. How much money does your ideal client make?
4. What does a typical weekend look like for them?
5. What kinds of things do they invest in?
6. How adventurous are they?
7. What shows do they like to watch?
8. What are some of their favorite restaurants?
9. Are they outgoing?
10. What does their dream vacation look like?

Now, take some time to really sit down and hammer away at these questions! You might be surprised what you find out about yourself and the type of clients you want to be booking! Being this specific is super helpful, and will give you a better perspective when it comes to marketing yourself towards this ideal client you’ve created!
